The Ocean-i Sensor Package: MkII

Ocean-i MkII UnitOcean-i was originally designed for use on the Volvo Ocean Race yachts as part of the Volvo Ocean Adventure, collecting ocean colour and temperature information as the yachts raced around the world.

The system has since been upgraded to provide a versatile system for the autonomous monitoring of ocean colour and other parameters. Designed to interface with TriOS RAMSES radiometers, Ocean-i is centered around a sophisticated electronic data logger that controls the data sampling routine for the sensors, stores and transmits the data.
